AN-NAZRI: Journal of Islamic Studies is committed to maintaining a rigorous, fair, and efficient peer-review process to ensure the quality and integrity of all published articles.

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to evaluate their suitability with the journal's focus and scope, writing quality, originality, and compliance with the Author Guidelines. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are forwarded for peer review.

The journal applies a double-blind peer-review system, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept anonymous throughout the review process. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.

The peer-review process generally takes up to three months, depending on reviewer availability and the quality of the submitted manuscript.

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following criteria:

  • Originality and novelty of the research.
  • Relevance to the journal's focus and scope.
  • Scientific quality and methodological soundness.
  • Clarity of presentation and organization.
  • Validity of data analysis and interpretation.
  • Contribution to the development of Islamic Studies.

Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief will make one of the following decisions:

  • Accept without revision.
  • Accept with minor revisions.
  • Request major revisions.
  • Reject the manuscript.

The final publication decision rests solely with the Editor-in-Chief, taking into account the reviewers' comments and the quality of the revised manuscript.

If necessary, the Editor may invite additional reviewers before making a final decision.

AN-NAZRI: Journal of Islamic Studies is committed to ensuring that every manuscript is evaluated fairly, objectively, confidentially, and free from any conflict of interest, in accordance with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
